A credit card can ensure a fast business transaction and verify the security between the buyers and sellers. The process do a validation of credit card number and expiration date plus an authorization from the issuers - then a confirmation will be sended to buyer and seller if all the process done sucessfully.
The kind of process can be done both online (via internet) or offline processing.
Some of offline credit card processing is not an instant process, the transactions are grouped together and done at one location.
The realtime or online credit card processing wil ensure the process of credit card transactions are done immediately. There are a lot of online merchant that receive internet payments. The customer also get a notification when the process done. The realtime transaction is suitable for a big merchants with a high volume of transactions.
