Sometimes you will see a hanging text in the top of this blog – yes, that is a plugin named LC-StatusLine. This plugin created by Ardy Hidayat which was originally modified from CA-StatusLine wp-plugin that was created by Cosa Aranda.
The plugin will create a status line on top of your blog page, like firefox do when it block a pop up. The background is same – yellow background with the black text that you can edit on your admin panel.
The new improvement plugin add some feature like a menu option to edit the text through an admin panel below the ‘option’ menu regarding editing the text manually by editing the plugin file. The other improvement is about the text movement and placement. You will see the text will move as your browser scroll moved. So you will see the status line text will follow the top of your browser screen as you scroll down the browser until you close it with a nice improved close button.
The status line appeareance will not shift down your page placement, it will appear by close of some portion of your page header. So, if you have a navigation link in the top of your header page, the status line will close it. But, I think this is not a big problem because your blog viewer can close it by hitting the close button and you can also use the plugin just in case you have some special offer or some special event which you want the reader know about that.
I think the great point is you will not just can add the text, but you can add also the html tag on your status line. So you can make a link to another page, make a bold or underline text on it. I think you can add some php also – but I didn’t test it.
